The booth is a self-contained system with blower, filters and controls to provide a safe working (100 µg/m³) environment for powdered APIs and Excipients, while sampling, weighing and dispensing. The booth is supplied with lights, alarms, monitors and temperature control. The ceiling plenum is designed with HEPA filters and stainless steel diffuser panels (90 fpm airflow) and supplied with lights with a 5-15% bleed air discharge. The exhaust system consists of (1) HEPA bank. These filters are DOP testable units for certification. Pre-filters are provided in the return grilles.
Spare Parts: We highly recommend ordering spare parts at time of equipment purchase due to current extended supply chain lead times. Spare parts kits consist of typical wear parts by equipment type with detailed part selection confirmed shortly after client drawing approval. The spare parts list will be provided for review and discussion with our spare part specialist to identify any adjustments desired based on client’s unique needs and usage.

The equipment will be fitted with grounding lugs where appropriate.
Temperature control uses chilled water cooling coils to help maintain comfortable working temperature. The coils are located in the return air duct of the booth.

A sensor monitors booth temperature and wired back to a controller within the LOP.
Chilled water is required for the cooling coils. Supply and connection by client.

Explosion-Proof – This provides control provision upgrades to allow the Vented Enclosure to be used in a Class 1, Division 2, Group C&D environment. Panels will be purge panel design and main drive motors will be upgraded to explosion proof.
Explosion-proof rating includes the Vented Enclosure and remote control panel. Panels are protected by Z-purge system which will require compressed air connection to both the Vented Enclosure and the remote MCC/PLC/OIT panel.
